Business broadband provider Host Ireland has rebranded as Elio Networks in preparation for its expansion into the Cork market in April. Elio Networks, which operates its own fixed wireless network in Dublin, is also set to launch in Limerick and Galway by the end of 2023. CEO David Russell explained the new name reflects their international ambitions, derived from the mythological sun god Helios, symbolizing the importance of broadband in business. Acquired by Digital 9 Infrastructure in 2022, Elio Networks aims for an all-Ireland presence and beyond.
